We are excited to introduce our new drop-in camp program! Once enrolled, you’ll have the flexibility to sign up for weekly drop-in camps that fit your schedule and budget

Registration for Drop In Camp is now Open!

How it Works at a Glance

Step 1:   Enroll your child as a Drop-in Camper! There will be a $100 registration fee that will be due in order to complete your enrollment. 

Enrollment Opens March 5, 2024

Step 2:  Sign your child up for specific days and locations. The Drop In Camp rate is $30/day. We will use a punch card system to track the days that you use. Once the field trip signups have been sent we will add you to Lillio (formally Himama) and invoice you for the registration fee. The registration fee will need to be paid in order for your child to attend camp.

Step 3:  We will host a camp paperwork/open house day in May. This is when you will turn in all paperwork, purchase punch cards, pick up your camp shirt and ask questions. Information will be sent out to those who have registered

Information on the Pickup and Drop off Process

Drop-off process

Please drop your child at the designated Safety Spot. You will see a yard sign that says “BrightPath Safety Spot – Welcome Drop-in Campers”.  
10:00-10:15 Drop-off window.  The following must be on file when you drop your child.  If you do not have any of the following, you will not be allowed to leave your child with us  
  • Enrollment Paperwork/documentation Checklist complete
  • Valid Punch Card – if you are out of punches, you may purchase a new one.  Please bring a check
  • Ready to eat, nut free lunch & water bottle with your child’s name on each (Backpack optional)
  • Have your child in their camp shirt provided by BrightPath 
Check your child in with the Camp Director   Please make sure that you walk your child to the Safety Spot (do not let them out and watch them from the parking lot, etc.) The Drop-in Camp Director will greet you, verify your sign-up on Sign-up Genius, Punch your card and check your child into Lillio   At this point, your child is officially in our care and you will receive a notification from Lillio that we’ve ‘checked in’ your child.  Until the Director has ‘checked in’ your child in Lillio, you MUST stay with your child at the Safety Spot. 
The other campers will have just arrived and be conducting our Opening Circle.   Your child may join them at this time.

Pick-up process

Please pick up your child at the designated Safety Spot (the same place you dropped them off).   You will see a yard sign that says “BrightPath Safety Spot – Welcome Drop-in Campers”.  
1:45-2:00  Pick-up  window  We will be conducting our ‘closing circle’ at this time.  Please gather and prepare to ‘check out’ your child with the Camp Director.   
Check your child out with the Camp Director  Please make sure that you walk to the Safety Spot – do not watch them from the parking lot, and expect them to come to you, etc.).  Upon connecting with you, the Camp Director will ‘Check out’ your child in Lillio and at that point, they are your responsibility.   When the closing circle ends, The Drop-in Campers will be instructed to go to the Safety Spot where you will be with the Camp Director.  At this point, you will collect your child and all of their belongings to go home. 

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance through the Camp Sign Up Genius. Any cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice will be charged the full camp day fee (equal to one punch). 
**Exception: if you cancel with less than 24 hours notice and someone else fills your spot you will not be charged the fee.
All no shows will be charged the full day full day camp fee (equal to one punch)

What age does my child need to be to enroll as a drop in camper?

Our drop in camp is geared towards those entering 1st-3rd grade in the fall

 

How Do I Enroll as a Drop-in Camper?

There will be an enrollment form on our Drop In Camp page – similar to what you may have signed up for camp before. 
Upon enrolling your child as a drop-in camper, you will receive access to a Password Protected Page on our website as well as an email invitation to Lillio our communication and invoicing app.The password protected page will also reiterate our terms, processes and policies.   An invoice for our one time $100 registration fee  will be sent once Lillio is downloaded. If you’re a current family, you will just receive an invoice in the app automatically.  Sign-ups will not be made available until registration fee is paid in full.

How do I sign my child  up for Field Trips?

We will use a weekly Sign-up Genius to allow you to sign your child up for specific days as a  Drop-in Camper.   Each week will have a different sign-up.  The links to these weekly Sign-ups  will be posted on our Website on the password Protected Drop-in Camp Page.   When you enroll as a Drop-in Camper, you will be given access to this password-protected page on our website

When can I sign my child up for Field Trips?

 Signups will open on April 11th, 2024
Each Signup will have the following Information:   
  • Location (different each day)
  • Safety Spot for Drop-off
  • Agenda of Activities for the day
  • Key contact information for On-site Camp Director

Can I sign up last minute?

Yes! If a particular day you wanted is full please keep an eye on the signup as we can receive cancellations up to 24 hours in advance. 

How will the punch card system work?

Drop-in Camp will be paid for with a punch card system.   You will purchase your punch card(s) at the paperwork dropoff day or with the Drop-in Camp Director at the Safety Spot.  Please bring a check to purchase your card.  Please make your check payable to BrightPath Active Learning.  
When you drop your child off each day, please present your punch card and the Drop-in Camp Director will punch your card ‘charging’ you for the day.  
You may purchase punch cards in increments of 5 punches for $150.  If you are enrolled for more than 5 Drop-in Days, you may purchase more than one card at a time (based on sign-ups).  You may purchase punch cards from the Drop-in Camp Director throughout the summer as needed.  
At the end of the summer, we’ll reimburse you for any ‘punches’ you didn’t use.   

How do I submit the required paperwork?

All of the required paperwork will be available on the password protected  Drop-in Camper page. You may bring the paperwork to the Camp Open House or email it ahead of time to enroll@brightpathactivelearning.com

How do you choose the camp locations?

 All camp locations have been chosen by our Camp staff with safety in mind. The parks we choose are well known to Brightpath and our camp staff. The areas we visit will be in Westerville and near surrounding areas.  Each location will have  a safety/Emergency location.   The children will be instructed at the beginning of each day “This is our safety spot”.  This Safety Spot will also be where you drop-off and pick-up your child.  

What is the staff to camper ratio?

Our ratio on field trips with our drop in campers will be 8:1
