Summer Camp at BrightPath engages children in challenging and meaningful learning experiences using the environment, the arts, nature and physical activity as a forum for learning. Children spend their time outdoors forming friendships, exploring nature and at the same time actively learning about themselves
Summer Camp Hours
Our camps run Monday-Friday
Regular camp day- 9:00 am–3:00 pm.
Extended day- 8:00am-5:30pm
Our Summer camps are offered to those entering 1st-3rd grade in the Fall 2026
Weekly cost for camp
Monday-Friday 9:00am–3:00pm: $273/week.
Extended Day 8:00am – 5:30pm: $347/week.
We do not offer sibling discounts, however, we do offer 10% discount for enrolling in the whole summer (at least 9 out of 10 weeks)

– Once a week is full, it will no longer show up in the list.
– If it is on the list and you are able to select it then you do not need to also join the waitlist for that week.
– Please hold onto the response confirmation email that you receive after submitting the form. This will serve as confirmation that you are enrolled for those weeks.
– Billing information will be sent within one week of registration

How We Roll
Camps are organized in groups by age and theme with numbers ranging from 12-14 campers/ group. Our camps are open on a week by week basis to those entering 1st grade through 3rd grade.
Themes for our 2026 camp season include:
Week 1- Wild Westerville. See all the nature the city of Westerville has to offer! This week will emphasize themes of nature and exploration that will continue throughout the summer.
Week 2- Flying Wonders. It’s a bird! It’s a plane! Anything that flies will be the focus of this camp week.
Week 3- Creepy Crawlies. If your child loves bugs, this week is for you! Insect scavenging, analysis and learning will all be covered (with no harm to the little critters).
Week 4- Earth Art. All about making creations using the natural world. Art projects will be made with scavenged material found in nature.
Week 5- Outdoor Adventure. Your children will become rugged outdoorspeople during this camping-themed week! Activities include cooking with a solar oven and acting out wilderness survival.
Week 6- Animal Planet. We’re going Down On The Farm! Field trips to visit animals will make this week a barnyard blast.
Week 7- Hidden Mysteries. The focus of this week will be anything hidden, with a hint of mystery… We will play games involving camouflage/hide n’ seek along with some top-secret scavenging activities.
Week 8- Out of this World! Anything mythical and magical! Aliens, unicorns, dragons, dinosaurs, and more will be incorporated into this fun-filled final week of camp
Week 9-Let’s Get PHYSICal. This week we’ll be learning about how things move! Emphasis on simple machines, physics and moving our bodies.
Week 10- The Best of Summer Camp! We will reflect on the summer and bring back trips and activities that the kids loved most!

We will explore all that Westerville & nearby areas have to offer! Our dedicated Camp team know all the best spots, making for a fantastic summer!
Hiking
We will explore local parks to unleash children’s inherent interest in bugs, trees and the world around them. Games, scavenger hunts and exploring are part of every outing.
Art
Each week will include teacher-led art projects beyond simple crafts. Campers will create beautiful works of art using paint, water colors, oil crayons and chalk pastel. Crafting and free choice projects will be included as well. Creative time is a perfect balance to our nature activities.

What does a typical camp day look like?
Our camp week includes 2-3 field trips, arts & crafts, water games and lots of outdoor time!
Where are the camp field trips to?
We visit all the area parks and beyond! Some examples include Sharon Woods, Blendon Woods, High Banks, Char Mar, McNamara and many more!
What ages are the camps geared toward? Are the groups split by age?
Our camps are open for children entering 1st grade-3rd grade. Groups may be combined with 1 to 2 grade levels.
What should my child bring to camp?
- Lunch each day – Keep in mind, we are active, it’s a long day, please send good fuel for your child. Our camps are NUT FREE (Peanuts and tree nuts). You are welcome to send nut butter substitutes, but PLEASE mark the bag or container NUT FREE so that we know it’s safe. *Keep in mind that we will be eating outdoors on a lot on our field trips so containers and lunch boxes are often easier to manage than paper bags that may blow in the wind.
In a small drawstring bag with your child’s Name clearly labeled on the outside:
- Water bottle with their name on it. This is very important! We are often out and about and don’t always have a water fountain handy.
- Please dress your child in comfortable clothes that they can run and play in (and that may get dirty).
- Tennis shoes (no sandals, please!) with socks & a second pair of shoes to be worn in the creek. Crocs or Keen type shoes work best. Rain boots can rub and give them blisters.
- Extra change of clothes (including socks & underwear). And, a small hand towel that they can dry their feet with after creeking.
- Please apply sunscreen & bug spray in the morning before you bring your child. We will re-apply in the afternoon. If your child has sensitivities to certain sunscreens or you’d like them to use a specific type or brand, please send it in and give it to your Camp Director.
Optional:
- light jacket if it’s cool in the mornings or a long sleeve lightweight shirt if your child may need some cover from the sun.
- hat to protect against ticks. (We will spend time in the woods and in the parks where sometimes there are ticks. (This is optional. But, PLEASE check your child at night for ticks.)
- A small, light backpack/bag can be helpful to carry a change of clothes, water bottle, lunch and creeking shoes (in a plastic bag). Keep in mind, a bag that is small and easy to transport on field trips.
